The Elma 04, 1x24-1k is a high quality, custom-made switch for audio applications. I use this switch as the stepped fader in the
VC528 Missing Link. The 1k value makes this switch a perfect option for the fader postition in a vintage API 2-stage console type
circuit. The switch is fully factory assembled by Elma with the SMD resistors installed. They use a custom made, 0.05% precision
tolerance Susumu resistor for audio applications. The extremely tight resistor tolerance insures that accurate gain steps can be
achieved from switch to switch. More than enough, even for discriminating mastering applications.
The switch has a custom light torque configuration for the ultimate high end feel.
In a typical 2-stage API circuit, the following gain steps can be expected:
+12, +10, +8, +6, +4, +2, 0, -2, -4, -6, -8, -10, -12,
-14, -16, -18, -20, -22, -25, -29, -34, -41, -51, off
