The 12V Plug-In Relay.1 bundle is a complete PCB and parts kit including a Panasonic TQ2-12V relay. The circuit is very simple while also being elegant. It is based on a circuit that was used throughout my vintage console for some of the mute/solo functions as well as other logic functions. Very smooth operation is achieved by the included de-bounce and anti-spike measures. In this circuit, with no connection to "VC" or the control pin, the relay is activated which couples the "B" pins to the "O" pins. By simply making a 0V or ground connection from your logic PSU to the "VC" control pin, the relay is deactivated which couples the "A" pins to the "O" pins. So, a bonus to this circuit is that you only need to run the operating voltage to the Plug-In Relay.1 PCB. All control remote switching is done with 0V or ground. I use two of these Plug-In Relay.1 boards for all HiZ selection/switching duties for the VP312DI project. I could not accomplish the same task if I were switching the higher coil voltage. If installed by soldering, the board sits only .83"(21.1mm) above the mating PCB. The United Chemi-Con capacitors have been chosen due to their very low projection from the PCB. If the PCB is stuffed with our parts kit, the footprint is no more than .41"(10.4mm) from the bottom of the solder pins to the tallest component. Simple control of DPDT relay for switching balanced audio The PCB is .9"(22.9mm) wide by .83"(21.1mm) inch tall Operates smoothly on 12V or 24V (Proper relay required) Uses common .100"(2.54mm) 3M header, 9 pins Can be soldered directly to a PCB or used with a 3M socket
