To avoid massive build errors, make sure the BOM Revision you follow matches the Revision of the PCB you are building!! The HPA500 Entire Bundle is a complete kit bundle that contains all of the parts and components required to complete a HPA500 Headphone Amplifier module. The HPA500 is physically and electronically fully VPR 500 series compatible. It is an extremely powerful and musical sounding headphone amp that can make a deaf drummer's ears bleed! All of this in only one 500 series rack slot. The HPA500's Left input source is the rack slot's input. The HPA500's Right input source is accessed by using a XLR Female to Female Coupler plugged into the rack slot's output. This gold plated contact XLR adapter is included with the HPA500 Entire Bundle. This project is based on my bench testing headphone amp that I’ve been using for many years. I’ve been wanting to make this a 500 series kit for a while now and finally made the time. Special Features: Nichicon MUSE capacitors in the audio path Alps Blue Velvet hifi stereo potentiometer OPA134 SoundPlus series operational amplifiers Two headphone outputs via gold plated Neutrik 1/4" stereo jacks Massive CAPI® level control knob Electronic Specifications: Input Impedance: 20k ohm Maximum Input Level: +28dBu @1kHz Frequency Response: +/- 0.1dB 10Hz - 50kHz Channel Separation: > 90dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio, A Weight, 10Hz – IEC A: >105dB THD+N at 1kHz, A Weight, 10Hz – IEC A: 0.0014% Current Draw under typical operating conditions: < 95mA per bipolar 16V rail Output Specifications: (These are extreme conditions that would permanently damage your hearing) Into 600 ohm: 1kHz @ max level of +22dBu / 92mA current draw / 10VAC RMS = 167mW RMS Into 300 ohm: 1kHz @ max level of +22dBu / 93mA current draw / 9.76VAC RMS = 317mW RMS Into 150 ohm: 1kHz @ max level of +22dBu / 110mA current draw / 9.12VAC RMS = 555mW RMS Into 32 ohm: 1kHz @ max level of +20dBu / 215mA current draw / 6.13VAC RMS = 1.17W RMS Into 16 ohm: 1kHz @ max level of +19dBu / 283mA current draw / 4.26VAC RMS = 1.13W RMS Maximum recommended output load is 16 ohm.
