The Discrete Voltage Follower #1 is a complete parts kit of nearly everything required to complete a three transistor, 16V bi-polar voltage follower. The DF1 can be used to buffer or isolated different parts of complex circuitry to eliminate interaction between the multiple stages. This is essentially the same circuit utilized four times in the coveted classic 550A modular equalizer. I use the words "nearly everything" in the description as typically, for unity gain, the incoming signal with pass thru a 1K series resistor followed by a 2M2 shunt before entering the DF1 circuitry. These two resistors are not included with the kit or allocated for on the PCB. This leaves a little leeway for some experimenting if so desired. I currently use the DF1 as a unity gain buffer between the High Pass Filter and the Low Pass Filter in the VC528 ST2+ modules. I do have many other uses for this circuit in upcoming modules. This discrete voltage follower circuit utilizes current production 5087 & 5088 transistors. ***Please note: This item is a complete parts kit and PCB bundle. Full and complete assembly is required. This kit is not for the beginner but is pretty easy over all. Good assembly and solder skills are a must!
